5 Kelowna Weekend Brunch Havens

For those looking for a place to go for brunch this weekend, finding a reasonably priced and tasty breakfast can feel like a daunting task. With so many great places to eat in the Okanagan, how do you decide? Below, I have narrowed down your search to five amazing (and affordable) pubs where you can get yo’ breakfast — and drink on!

1) Flask Social House  10a-2p

Chicken and Belgium Waffles? Eggs Benny Poutine? A Caesar with what is basically a gourmet egg mcmuffin, appropriately entitled “Hair Of The Dog” for only $11? Who can ask for anything more?

2) Sturgeon Hall  10a-2p

This place has been a staple in Kelowna since the mid ‘90s.The service is always friendly, the owners always seem happy, and the food has mostly been what I’ve expected. Their brunch selections range from your basics to their signature ‘Eggs Jamie Benny’. They also have a delicious egg white sandwich with smoked provolone, avocado, pesto mayo and a fruit cup.

3) Turtle Bay Pub  10a-12p

If you live in Lake Country or don’t mind a short drive, Turtle Bay Pub is a lovely choice. It’s one of the few pubs to still have Pancakes on their menu for only $8. They also have the Farmer’s Scramble which includes BOTH bacon and sausage, 3 eggs, onions and cheese for only $13. Add an orange or grapefruit mimosa for only $5, or a Caesar called a ‘Beezer’ served ‘bulldog style’, with a Coronita added to it for $8.75.

4) Doc Willoughby’s  All Day

Where else can you get brunch for only $5, ALL DAY LONG? The portion sizes are fantastic for the price. The ‘Breakfast Charger’, includes two eggs, toast, pan fried potatoes, with a choice of bacon or sausage. They also have Eggs Benny, an egg and hashbrown Spanish Quesadilla, along with a Breakfast Poutine.

5) Mission Tap House  10a-2p

If you’re looking for your basic breakfast deal, Mission Tap House has a great one at only $7, which includes eggs, hashbrowns, toast, and your choice of bacon, sausage, or tomato slices. There are plenty of other choices as well, however they cost $12.50 and up. Their hangover burger with a fried egg, and served with hashbrowns, rings in at $16! They also have $4 Caesars on during brunch.
