5 Valentine’s Date Night Ideas

It’s the time of year that all so familiar shade of pink paints the town and heart shaped chocolates, flowers and cards litter the store fronts. Valentine’s Day comes as a welcome reason to celebrate in the dead of winter whether you’re single or coupled. It means guilty pleasure candy, cheesy puns and shameless romantic comedies. How delightful! But if you haven’t planned out the perfect night of romantic whimsy yet, we’ve got 5 great ideas for you, right here in Kelowna.

1. Grab a hot chocolate and go ice skating at Stuart Park.
Open from 6am to 11pm, and complete with a warm cozy fire, delicious hot chocolate and food trucks on site, this might be the perfect venue for romance this Valentine’s day.

2. Catch Chicago playing at the Actor’s Studio.
The Actor’s Studio is always a good time and with the popular Broadway classic Chicago playing this year, it’s bound to be a great date night choice. Get tickets early, their intimate venue fills up fast.

3. Celebrate at the Valentine’s Masquerade.
You can feel good about attending this masquerade party with proceeds going to benefit the Wish Come True Society. Tickets are $25 and doors open at 7:30pm.

4. Taste local chocolate and Okanagan spirts at Sweet Sips.
At Okanagan Distillery, learn about chocolate from local chocolatier Liv a Lil and taste pairings with Okanagan Spirits. Tickets are $14 and tastings start at 6pm.

5. Sweetheart Wine and Paint at Wine & Art Bistro.
Connect with your partner and enjoy wine, tapas from Chef Patti DeBoer, paint supplies and instruction from a local artist. Choose from 5pm or 8pm start times for $69 a person.
