Events Around Kelowna This Weekend

Ever so slowly the temperature is warming, the birds are singing and the flowers are blooming. It’s just the sort of feeling that makes you want an excuse to get out of the house and mingle. Luckily Kelown’a s event season is upon us, here are 10 great ones to check out this weekend:

1. Okanagan Eats Food Show 2017
Sip, shop and nibble your way through a wide varierty of food and drink vendors as you explore new tastes and brands, purchase your favourite products and learn a thing or two from our favorite local chefs during live food demos and competitions.

2. Spring WestJet Wine Tastings
It’s the time of year to buy your ticket to try 250 Okanagan wines all under one roof! Check out some live music,  taste a variety of appetizers from Nesters Market and mingle with fellow wine lovers at the Rotary Arts Center.

3. Adult Prom Night at Habitat
It’s not everyday you get a chance at second Prom. And this time, the punch is spiked, the music is loud and there are no chaperones. So dust off your dancing shoes and work up the nerve to ask your crush out.

4. Hockey Night in Canada’s Play On!
Kelowna’s annual street hockey tournament and outdoor hockey festival will kick off in the parking lot of Prospera Place this weekend so come by and cheer on your team!

5. Kelowna Comedy Showcase at Dakoda’s Pub
Relieve some stress by laughing the night away with 6 local comedians. And why not make a night of it and invite some friends, have some drinks and enjoy some delicious eats.

7. 2nd Annual Monkey Crew Family Fun Day

8. Revenge of the Sixth Bout – Roller Derby
$10 will get you a ticket to the fast paced OKRD while they take on the NWO from Chilliwack BC. Get loud and support Kelowna Women’s Flat Track Roller Derby League.

10. Opening Gala 2017 for Okanagan Asian Heritage Month
